Real Madrid claimed another Clásico victory with a 2–1 win over a depleted Barcelona side that arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu missing several key starters due to injury. The clash was marked by controversy, intensity, and high drama from start to finish.

The home team created more dangerous chances, while Barcelona tried to control possession despite suffering up to seven absences, including Joan García, Gavi, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, and Robert Lewandowski, forcing Xavi’s men to field a heavily rotated lineup.

Kylian Mbappé broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a solo run that electrified the Bernabéu crowd. Jude Bellingham doubled Madrid’s lead in the 43rd minute with a powerful strike from outside the box. Barcelona responded through Fermín López, who capitalized on a Marcus Rashford assist in the 30th minute, one of the few clear chances for the Catalans.

The match was full of refereeing disputes. Three Real Madrid goals were disallowed (two from Mbappé, one from Bellingham), provoking protests from the home bench. Madrid also demanded a penalty for a handball that wasn’t given in the 50th minute, and moments later, Mbappé missed a penalty that was brilliantly saved by Barça’s goalkeeper.

Vinícius Jr. stood out for his speed and flair on the wings, constantly troubling Barcelona’s defense despite being unable to score. His dynamism played a vital role in Madrid’s attacking rhythm.

Tension rose toward the end, with scuffles and red cards for both sides. Madrid finished with five yellow cards and one sending-off, while Barcelona collected four yellows and one red.

Even though Barcelona dominated possession, Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid proved more dangerous and efficient in front of goal. Backed by a roaring Bernabéu, Los Blancos held firm and secured three valuable points that keep them atop LaLiga, while an undermanned Barcelona fought bravely but fell short.
