PSG Dominates Inter Miami 4-0 in Club World Cup Clash at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) delivered a commanding performance to defeat Inter Miami 4-0 in a Club World Cup showdown at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
João Neves was the standout star, scoring twice early in the match. His first goal came in the 6th minute, followed by pressure that led to an own goal by Inter Miami’s Fabián in the 39th minute.
Tomás Avilés added to Inter’s woes with a defensive miscue in the 44th minute, allowing PSG to head into halftime with a comfortable lead. Achraf Hakimi sealed the victory with a fourth goal in the second half.
Inter Miami struggled to contain PSG’s relentless attack, at times defending with five men to stop the French side’s goal-scoring machine. Despite their efforts, defensive errors were costly.
Goalkeeper Óscar Ustari was instrumental in keeping the scoreline from growing, making several key interceptions and cutting off plays before PSG’s strikers could capitalize.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez tried to spark a comeback but were denied by PSG’s organized backline.
Sergio Busquets had a rough outing, committing several uncharacteristic mistakes. Defender Tomás Avilés appeared nervous and imprecise throughout the game.
The introduction of Benjamín Cremaschi 76′ gave Inter some life in midfield, while Federico Redondo showed promise with a composed performance in the center of the pitch.
Ultimately, PSG’s dominance in possession and sharp attacking edge proved too much for the MLS side, securing a decisive 4-0 victory and sending a clear message in their Club World Cup campaign.
