Malik Tillman signs with Leverkusen until 2030, the deal with PSV was worth around $40 million, a figure that would benefit Bayern Munich too, where he was developed.

Tillman, who holds both German and American citizenship — his father is from the United States — would be returning to his roots in Bavaria, having been raised in Germany and developed in Bayern Munich’s youth academy, just like his brother Timmy Tillman, who currently plays for LAFC.

Malik Tillman chose to represent the United States internationally in 2022 after playing for Germany’s youth teams. That same year, he made his debut for the USMNT.

Tillman’s playing style has drawn comparisons to that of French star Paul Pogba: he is an attacking midfielder known for distributing the ball through precise through-passes and for his willingness to shoot on goal.
