The absence of Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, Alejandro Zendejas, Timothy Weah, Gio Reyna, and Weston McKennie for the USMNT friendlies and the Gold Cup opens up a world of possibilities to try new variations within the team.

Mauricio Pochettino and the 60-player preliminary roster submitted to Concacaf for the Gold Cup provide an opportunity for emerging talents to play for the USMNT.

To fill the void left by Pulisic—a key player who can act as both a forward and a midfielder—Pochettino has several interesting players who could potentially solve the issue of his absence.
